Question by xxfaerybubblesxx: Can you opt out of the prostate exam at the urologist’s?
I was just wondering if a guy can go get checked for STD’s without having to worry about getting the prostate exam done?

Well sure. I doubt seriously that a prostate exam would be part of a check for STDs anyway. And why a urologist? Most ppl just go to their family doc for STD check.

Q&A: Where does a prostate orgasm come from?

Friday, January 14, 2011 posted by 9:14 am

Question by Dancing Canadian: Where does a prostate orgasm come from?
Ok, now I have, for a long time wondered (I have never had my prostate stimulated before) Where is it that the orgasm actually takes place? Do you feel it in the penis, or the anus? I have heard many different points of view but was wondering which one was true? My wife and I are thinking of stimulating my prostate and we are curious to know information such as this?

Could anyone help?

Question by Jamie: Does taking Tylenol PM enlarge the prostate gland?
At age 73, I have an enlarged prostate gland and difficulty sleeping. I do not have prostate cancer. After strenuous exercise, can I use Tylenol PM as a sleep aid or would it likely increase the enlargement of my prostate gland?

Your best bet would be to GOOGLE that question but I have never heard that it would cause swelling of the prostate and I take it a lot.

What is the Gleason score of prostate cancer?

Question by sardanmb: What is the Gleason score of prostate cancer?
A friend has a Gleason score of 5 prostate cancer. What does this mean?

Best answer:

Answer by Tony M
“The grade of the cancer is an important factor in predicting long-term results of treatment, response to treatment, and survival. With Prostate Cancer the most commonly used grading system is the Gleason Scale. In this grading system, the cell are examined by a pathologist under the microscope and assigned a number based on how the cancer cells look and how they are arranged together. Because the prostate cancer may be composed of cancer cells of different grades, the pathologist assigns numbers to the two predominant grades present. The numbers range from 1 (low grade) to 5 (high grade). The Gleason score is the total of these two numbers; for example, am man with a Gleason grade of 2 and 3 in his prostate cancer would have a Gleason score of 5. Low-score cancers are those with a Gleason score of 2,3,
and 4; intermediate-score cancers are those with a Gleason score of 5, 6, or 7; and high-score cancers are those with a Gleason score of 8, 9, and 10. The speed of growth and the agressiveness of the cancer increase with the Gleason score.”

Question by Midnite Man1: How do I position myself to self massage my prostate (no toys)?
I have read numerous tips and advice but can’t seem to find the right answer. Do I lie on my back and reach down with my hand and slip in my middle finger? Will that reach? Or do I lie on my side and use my thumb? Or something else?
